Happy New Year 2010! This Static Limit update brings us the great news that the drum tracks for "A Thing About Machines" are complete. Here's a short note from Mar:
"It's been a long road getting here, but the drum studio sessions are finally done! A HUGE thanks to Joe and his dad at MP Recording studios in Weslaco for all their hard work. Even before the final mix, I can already tell that the drums are going to sound phenomenal. You guys will not be disappointed! Jay and Rom have also been treading along recording their bass and guitar parts as well, so keep your eyes peeled and your ears to the ground for more updates from them. Thanks for sticking with us and stay tuned for more studio updates!"
In The Studio: Big Overdue Update Posted on 3/21/09
The big overdue update is that...Static Limit left the comfort of downtown Weslaco, TX area during the Fall '08 to descend upon the downtown McAllen, TX area to began recording guitars on their debut original album "A Thing About Machines". Here's a short note from Rom:
"Hi everyone, over the past few months we've been recording guitars at Orange Meda Studioin downtown McAllen, TX. I'm excited to report that about two-thirds of the guitar tracks have been recorded. Much time was spent on working out the right electric guitars, acoustic guitars, string gaugesand amp settings. Some insight as to what gear I've used so far are Mesa Boogie, TC Electronics, Marshall, Jackson guitars, PRS guitars, Ernie Ball guitars, Schecter guitars, Dunlop Wahs...and possibly more gear will be added to the list in the near future. We've included a mockumentary entitled "Inside the Static Studio." The video is about of the guitar recording sessions. Thanks for your support, interest and most of all yourpatience. Till next time. Enjoy the video!"
